Kaut vai mazs salidzinaajums ar Holivudas "The Last Samurai"

"The Last Samurai simplistically portrays the samurai as a noble breed only interested in serving the Emperor and preserving their harmonious Bushido way of life. In contrast, When the Last Sword Is Drawn uses the pious and selfless life of one samurai to show Bushido as it was intended to be, yet was largely forgotten by the majority of men who either fought for no reason at all or simply to save themselves. While the story does fall into gratuitous sentimentality towards the end, it still manages to present a complex, very personal, and thought-provoking representation of the samurais' end."
